Consistent practice is the number one way to develop your musical skills. It is also a great way to work on building life skills of discipline and long-term gratification.

That’s why we challenge YOU to practice every single day, for 100 days in a row.

No excuses and no days off!

Best of all, every student who completes the 100 Day Practice Challenge in 2024 will receive an MLA Gift Pack (valued at $30), and a raffle ticket for the chance to win one of two major prizes!

Each time you practice, colour in the day!

At the end of each row, ask your parent, guardian or teacher to sign your practice log.

WHAT CAN I PRACTICE?

Counted as a Minimum 90 days of practice:

  • Everything you worked on in your lesson
  • Old pieces that you love
  • All the scales & technical exercises you know
  • A new piece you want to play
  • Improvise or compose your own song
  • Work out a tune by ear
  • Learn a duet or group piece with your friends or family

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE MY INSTRUMENT?

Counted as Maximum 10 days of practice:

  • Study music theory from a workbook or online
  • Practice note naming with an app or worksheet
  • Practice clapping rhythms
  • Learn about a famous composer or music history
  • Listen to your pieces while following along the sheet music
  • Go through your pieces naming all the intervals

CHALLENGE DETAILS

Who is eligible to enter the challenge?

Only students of Music Lessons Australia enrolled between January 2023 to December 2023 are eligible to participate in the challenge.

Can a student receive multiple raffle tickets?

Students will only receive 1 x raffle ticket for completing the 100 Day Practice Challenge. The purpose of practising for 100 days in a row is not to win prizes, but to develop a beneficial habit in practising music. 

What is considered as "Practice"?

Minimum 90 days of practice must consist of the following types of activities:

  • Everything you worked on in your lesson
  • Old pieces that you love
  • All the scales & technical exercises you know
  • A new piece you want to play
  • Improvise or compose your own song
  • Work out a tune by ear
  • Learn a duet or group piece with your friends or family
What if I don't have access to my instrument for some time during the challenge?

We understand some students might be away from their instrument during the challenge. Hence, we are happy to consider the below activities as “practice” for a maximum of 10 days during the challenge:

  • Study music theory from a workbook or online
  • Practice note naming with an app or worksheet
  • Practice clapping rhythms
  • Learn about a famous composer or music history
  • Listen to your pieces while following along the sheet music
  • Go through your pieces naming all the intervals
When is the Raffle drawn?

The raffle will be drawn on the 1st November 2023.

Winners will be notified via Email & SMS.
